INTENT TO RETURN

Please complete the Intent to Return Form to help Roberts anticipate student enrollment for the 2025–26 academic year. The form should be completed for ALL currently enrolled students in grades kindergarten through 4th, whether they will be returning or not.

 
FASTING FOR RAMADAN

Parents, if your child will be observing Ramadan and fasting during lunchtime, kindly complete this form to assist us in making the necessary accommodations for your child during this period of observance. Thank you!

 
PAJAMA DAY ON FRIDAY!

Pajama Day is back this Friday, Mar. 7. Wristbands are REQUIRED to participate. They will be sold for $1 on Thursday and Friday mornings at the drop-off gates and Reception.

 
REMAINING RE AUCTION ITEMS AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE

What a night! THANK YOU to all who volunteered and attended the 2025 Roberts Auction and Gala. New technology will be coming to Roberts soon with the funds raised!

PADRES GOLF TOURNAMENT FRIDAY, MAR. 21

The PADRES 2025 Golf Classic Tournament will be Friday, Mar. 21 at Gus Wortham Park Golf Course (20 minutes from Roberts) with 6 consecutive tee times reserved beginning at 11 a.m. Players of any skill level, spouses, colleagues, friends, and neighbors are all welcome! Registration costs $175 and includes lunch. You can also register a foursome and enter your group's information, or send them a link to do it themselves. The pace of play is typically fast, and by 4–4:30 p.m. everyone should be through with the round.

There are some great prizes available, but the money raised helps PADRES accomplish improvement projects around the RE campus.

PTO NOMINATING COMMITTEE MEETING

The PTO Nominating Committee for the 2024–25 school year will meet in March to review the candidates for the 2025–26 school year. The members of this year’s committee are:

PTO Board Members:

  • Deidre Larrier, School Store co-chair (3rd graders)
  • Jim McDade, Padres chair (4th grader)
  • Violet Chiwaura, Workroom chair (2nd grader)

General PTO members: 

  • Lindsay Howard, kindergartners
  • Alberto Aguila (1st grader)

Michelle Wan, President-elect (2nd and 4th graders), and Wafa Taiym, President (kinder, 3rd, and 5th graders), will serve in an advisory capacity.

If you are interested in any of the open board seats, please reach out to any of our current elected officers or the committee members listed above.

The Roberts Carnival will occur on Saturday, April 5, 10 a.m.–2 p.m.

RUNNING CLUB VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

We are seeking VIPS-approved parent volunteers for our Monday and Friday group practices! Sign up here.

 
VIPS CERTIFICATION REQUIRED FOR VISITS

All visitors and volunteers must be VIPS cleared to participate in events during the school day—this includes having lunch with your student. Apply for VIPS here. For more information, please see the Roberts Elementary website.

 
HISD PARTNERSHIP FOR STUDENT TELEHEALTH APPOINTMENTS

HISD has partnered with Hazel Health to offer telehealth appointments for students at no out-of-pocket cost to families (insurance will be billed where available). Contact Ms. Lee for any questions.

HISD has partnered with a third party to provide telehealthcare to students.
 
 
ROBERTS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TOURS FOR K–5TH GRADE STUDENTS

Roberts Elementary is hosting school tours for prospective K–5 students. Tours run from 9–10 a.m.; all participants must check in with valid ID by 8:55 a.m.
