PTO MEETING DEC. 1

Join us in the Roberts café this Friday at 8:00 a.m. (after dropoff) for the December PTO meeting.

TEACHER OF THE WEEK
Ms. Wendy Waterman (Kinder)

Hi Roberts family! I am Houston born and raised (right down the street!). This is my 21st year in Houston ISD and my 11th year at Roberts. As a product of HISD, having attended Pershing Middle School and graduated from Bellaire High School, I am a huge advocate of public schools and I have seen the system produce some of the most worldly, kind, educated, and talented people that I know.

One of the coolest parts about my job is having the opportunity to teach the children of friends I grew up with. Another perk is being a part of my students' journey into adulthood. Attending their birthday parties, recitals, high school graduations, college graduations, weddings and even baby showers has been priceless! I think of these children as my own and I can’t tell you how much joy this has brought me.

I am a lifelong learner who has a passion for learning about other cultures. Before having my son, Noah, I traveled the world. Many of my favorite destinations have been in Asia, although I was not much of a risk-taker when I attended the Night Markets in Bangkok. No bugs for me.

Roberts has been such a perfect fit and I am beyond grateful to be of service to your children and the community. Thank you for sharing your precious littles with me, inside the walls of my classroom and beyond.

DRESS-UP DAYS AND COMMUNITY NIGHT
