To our friends and neighbors of Roberts Elementary:

Hopefully with the beautiful spring weather Houston has been enjoying lately you have been able to get outside to visit our beautiful local elementary school’s grounds! If you have not had a chance lately to come check out our outdoor area, we would love for you to do so. 

The Roberts playground offers equipment that is suitable for multiple ages, including a toddler area where the swings are a big hit with the 3 and under set. We also recently installed turf in a beautiful, shaded area that is perfect for hosting birthday parties. Our basketball court has seen an uptick in use since we repoured the surface at the beginning of the school year and we are working to reopen our greenspace with fresh new grass as quickly as possible so that field activities can resume. 

We are now looking toward our next big project – adding outdoor shade – and we could use your help! Our students are raising funds for shade sails for the playground via our school’s Fun Run fundraiser. We are inviting our friends and neighbors in the surrounding neighborhoods to help us continue to maintain and improve our outdoor spaces for everyone’s use and enjoyment.
