FUN RUN FUNDRAISER IS UNDERWAY!

Our annual Fun Run is a two-week fundraising program that builds excitement and school spirit, ending with a high-energy run on Friday February 6th! Every student participates in the race. Students will earn daily prizes as they reach fundraising goals, which keeps their motivations high.

How the funds will be used:
• Update the staff workroom for better function and collaboration
• Fund approximately one-third of the PTO budget- supporting IB curriculum dues, community nights, field trips, and facility improvements (including the computer room and maintenance needs)

Registration is open now!
Sign up at www.mybooster.com - search Roberts Elementary or use code 113-284!
Only 25% of students are registered so far—let’s boost that number!

LUNAR NEW YEAR FESTIVAL

Join the Roberts community to ring in the 2026 Lunar New Year, Year of the Horse, on February 20th with traditional performances and fun activities. Asian food, boba tea, decorations, snacks, and other items will be available for purchase in addition to the 5th grade concessions - bring your cash!

We will also have the annual Lion Dance! According to ancient tradition, feed the hungry lion $1 bills in exchange for a blessing of good fortune!

As always, volunteers are crucial to make our events successful. Please sign up HERE! If you or a business you know would like to host a table to hand out food samples/items, sell food/merchandise, or lead a fun activity/game, contact communitynight@robertspto.org by February 10th!

SPRING IN THE ROBERTS INTERNATIONAL GARDEN

The garden committee is hosting the annual Spring Garden Cleanup on Sunday February 1st and would love to see you there! We'll be prepping the vegetable beds for Kinder, 1st, and 2nd grade students who will begin planting in February. Coffee, water, and donuts will be served. Please RSVP here if you are able to make it. :)

Bring your gardening gear: gloves, pruning clippers, etc. We will have extras if you don’t have any. Please note that the building will be closed for the weekend so there will be no bathroom access. Water bottles are a good idea!

For families with Kinder and 2nd graders: the Garden is still seeking parent liaisons for each for the following classes to help your kids plant and harvest this spring!

PALS:

JENNIFER PATRICK AND RACHEL SCHNEIDER - FUN RUN

Hi Roberts families! We’re Jennifer Patrick and Rachel Schneider, and we’re co-chairing this year’s Fun Run. This is Jennifer’s fourth year and Rachel’s second, so clearly we keep coming back.

We both live within walking distance of Roberts and love being part of the community. Jennifer lives with her husband Bryant and their two kids, Ouisie (Kindergarten) and Nevins (4th grade). Rachel lives with her husband Michael and their 4th grader, Eli. Between drop-off, pickup, and school events, you’ve probably seen us around campus, often together.

We love co-chairing the Fun Run because we’ve seen what it makes possible. Past Fun Runs have helped pay for the new playground, sun shades, decks, and more. It’s also one of the few fundraisers that’s truly kid-driven. Students set goals, reach out beyond their own households, and get to see the real impact of their work. Fun Run day is always a highlight, with lots of cheering, encouragement, and celebration.

We’re excited for another Fun Run and can’t wait to see everyone out on the course!
