Our family reached a big milestone this week as our oldest graduated from 5th grade after six wonderful years at Roberts—though with three more little ones still in or heading to Roberts, we’re far from done.

As PTO President, I’ve had the joy of witnessing the heart and hustle that goes into making our school such a special place. From our incredible committee leads to the everyday volunteers, our rockstar administration, and the truly amazing teachers and staff, it takes everyone working together to keep things running smoothly, and I’m endlessly grateful for each and every one of you. (Thank you particularly to Roberts parents Thuy Trinh Wong, Clayton Forswall, and Shirin Hakimzadeh for agreeing to serve on this year’s audit committee.)

We’re not slowing down. This summer, we’ve got several exciting projects on the horizon, including a brand-new PTO shed, an outdoor refresh, updates to the computer lab, and a teachers' lounge makeover. We’ll be working throughout the summer to ensure our school is refreshed and ready to welcome students back in August.

Thank you all for showing up, giving so generously, and pouring so much love into Roberts. It’s an honor to be part of this incredible village.

Congrats to our 5th graders, whose closing days as Roberts students have included presenting projects full of impressive interaction and detail at the IB Exhibition, enjoying a celebratory dance party, and attending a commencement to recognize their achievements. We can't wait to see what you'll do next!

Thank you to our community garden volunteers for a wonderful season of planting, growing, and harvest! Feel free to stop by our garden all summer to tend, weed, or pick any of the produce still growing.

Coach Montoya is offering summer clinics for one-on-one or small group soccer from $35 per session.

Registration is open for iKids aftercare during the 2025–2026 school year. iKids U offers a variety of after-school opportunities onsite at Roberts, including Stay and Play, Enrichment, and one-on-one services, with part-time and full-time options from 1–5 days per week. Calling all incoming kindergarten students for the 2025–26 school year! Please see the Roberts page on HISD's website for registration steps and to make an appointment to register. Please share this information with your friends and neighbors in the Roberts community to ensure that space is available for their students to register too!

Another wonderful school year has come to an end. Here at the Front Page, reigning editors 2023–2025 Linda Haines and Erin Nelsen Parekh are moving on to other volunteer roles while new talent Lindsay Howard takes over your weekly bulletins. We are still looking for a second chair, so please drop a line if you want to be involved!
