What To Expect At.....

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 3rd

If you have a question that needs an answer, please post questions in the comments below and we will answer to share with the broader community.

Everyone is asking…

Who can attend?

Roberts Campout is open to ALL current Roberts students and their immediate families. The event is orchestrated by the PADRES, but every year we have dozens of moms, girls, and siblings join the fun too!  The only requirement is that 1 camper from each family needs to be a current RE student and that every camper is registered with an adult.

What to expect?

A whole lot of fun with activities, pizza dinner, movie, and popcorn on Friday night.  Wake up on Saturday morning to breakfast and some much needed coffee for the adults.

What do we pack?

A refillable water bottle and a reusable cup with your name on it! (We are trying to limit our environmental impact).  Also, bring your tent, sleeping bags, blankets, pillows, outdoor chairs (whatever you need to be comfortable), a flashlight, bug spray, toothbrush, and even a change of clothes.  Feel free to pack a cooler with any snacks, drinks or medicine you might need overnight.  Dress to have fun and of course for the weather!

What if we have little ones who can’t stay the night?

It is not uncommon to come for dinner and the movie, leaving the campgrounds without spending the night. Many will rejoin for breakfast the next morning!  You do what is right for you and your family. Registration is required, even if you don’t stay the night!  The school grounds will be closed to non-campout attendees.

What is the schedule?

Be there between 5:30-7:30 to get checked in!  First come, first serve for campout spots!  Dinner will be served, Movie will play after dark and checkout begins the next morning around 8:30am.

Do I have to attend with my student?

Yes! All students and siblings must be accompanied by an adult.  A minimum of two tickets must be purchased (1 Adult Camper/1 Student Camper). Tickets are by camper and not by family.

Can I volunteer?

Yes please!  As with any other Roberts event, we rely on volunteers to make it happen. There are so many short and easy shifts available, allowing you to help out while also having fun! Please visit our Sign Up Page to review available slots.

Do volunteers have to purchase a ticket?

There are a few volunteer positions available for non-campers (set-up and check-in), but all campers must register and pay to attend the campout!  All volunteers will receive a T-Shirt!

What if it gets rained out?

Campout is held weather permitting!  If the campout is cancelled due to weather, we will attempt to reschedule for later in the school year.

What else do I need to know?

Should it rain, we will still incur costs and your registration fee will not be refunded; however, you would still be registered (and paid up) for a potential rescheduled campout this school year.

The school bathrooms will be not be available once campout begins. Portable Toilets will be provided.
