FROM THE PRINCIPAL: END-OF-YEAR TESTING, DUES, AND PLANNING

Attendance and District Testing

A gentle reminder that we have 16 days left in this school year. Every day matters and counts. Please make every effort to have your child attend school daily and arrive on time. School begins at 7:30 a.m.

All students K–5 will participate in the final round of NWEA testing May 28–31. Please keep in mind that May 28 is the day after Memorial Day. Make sure that your child is rested and ready to test upon return from the holiday.

Café and Library Dues

All library books are due the week of May 13–17 as we prepare for the upcoming library renovation. Please ensure that your child returns his/her library book this week.

Notices for lost library books and café balances have gone home. These fees need to be paid as soon as possible. Final report cards will be held until all library and café balances are paid.

Sibling Registration for the 2024–25 School Year

For all NEW students needing to enroll into Roberts, please see our Registration Steps. Seats are limited, so register as soon as possible!

Currently enrolled Roberts students need not apply—enrollment will automatically roll over.

TEACHER OF THE WEEK
Ms. Alexandra Couvillon (2nd Grade)

I am Alexandra Couvillon and this is my first year at Roberts Elementary as a teacher! I did go to school here K–5th and it is so awesome to be back. I went to Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas and graduated with my B.S. in Elementary Education EC-6. When I am not in the classroom you can always find me at a Texas State baseball game, taking my dog for walks, watching classic movies or spending time with my family. I really appreciate all the support and kindness I have gotten since starting here, it means a lot to me!

The evening Portfolio Picnic will be Thursday, May 23 from 5:45 to 6:45 p.m. If you have multiple children, we encourage you to attend the evening picnic!

This is a special opportunity for parents and their children to eat together and appreciate the students' growth. We are hoping every parent will be able to attend! Parents must RSVP by Friday, May 17at 12 noon

If you have a kindergartener, RSVP to attend the separate kindergarten Portfolio Picnic Thursday, May 30.

For questions, please reach out to Ms. Tran at Kristina.tran@houstonisd.org.

Picnics take place over your child's lunchtime. Please refer to the table below and sign up for either Block A or Block B.
