With your support, the 5th grade committee has planned a series of special year-end events to celebrate all of the hard work our 5th graders have put in over the years, and to recognize all of the important people and friendships along the way.

Class Picture in Commemorative T-Shirts Monday, April 1st, 8:00 am @ Roberts. T-shirt handed out before photo, photo in mat handed out at Memory Morning.

We will be asking for volunteers at certain events as the time gets closer!

T-SHIRTS & PICTURES

Monday, April 1, 8:00 am

5th Grade shirts will be passed out before the picture. Please have your student come prepared to put their 5th grade shirt over existing shirt upon arrival.

PROMOTION CEREMONY

Wednesday, May 29 @ 6:15pm - Pershing Middle School

Please join us at Pershing Middle School as we recognize and promote our 5th Grade students. Wishing them a warm farewell, as they begin their journey through middle school and beyond. Family is welcome but seating is limited!

Roberts' Music Teacher, Mr. Lacy will lead 5th grade in song and we will have light refreshments after the ceremony.

IMPORTANT: Students report to Pershing Auditorium at 6pm. Please allow ample time for parking. Ceremony begins at 6:15pm.

Reserved Seating only for our students, administration, Culture of Giving and Auction Winners.

Note it is also Roberts Spirit Night at Palace Social

5:30pm-7:30pm with 20% of spend coming back to Roberts PTO!

PICTURE SUBMISSION FOR SLIDE SHOW

We will do our best to accept pictures through Friday, May 17th.

Please email one 5th Grade and one baby/toddler picture of your student to fifthgrade@robertspto.org

Please include your teacher name & student name in the image name (e.g. Vuong_AshleyChurch_baby). Thank you!

MEMORY MORNING

Thursday, May 30, time 2pm @ Roberts

Sign your classmates' class photo! Donuts will be served.

Class photo will be handed out. You do not need to order the photo.

Parents do not need to attend!

5TH GRADE DANCE

Friday, May 31, 6:00-8:00 pm in the Roberts Cafeteria. Disco theme!

Snacks and drinks will be served.

5th graders only!

This is a drop-off event (drop off Circle Dr).

Parents will not be allowed to stay! We have plenty of chaperones.

WATER DAY

Monday, June 3, 11:00 am-2:00 pm @ Roberts

WHAT TO EXPECT/BRING

Our 5th Graders will enjoy a Wet, Wild, Waterslide filled day with their classmates. Lunch will be served.

Please come dressed in your swimsuit....

Girls wear swimsuits underneath clothing. T-Shirt and shorts MUST be worn on top of swimsuit.
Boys can wear swim shorts and t-shirt.

Please pack the following: Towel, Change of Clothes (including underwear), shoes that can get wet, and a plastic bag for wet clothes after changing.

All students should come dressed in the appropriate clothing outlined above for the water slides.

Students who do not follow the dress code outlined above, will not be able to participate.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

We have enough volunteers for our events but can always use more for water day if you want to come! Please contact fifthgrade@robertspto.org. Must be VIPS approved.

OPTIONAL DONATIONS WELCOME

In an effort to provide a special experience for each 5th grader, we are asking for an optional monetary contribution to help cover the expenses incurred to make this last month special for our students and their teachers.

We encourage each family to contribute what they can and welcome and appreciate whatever you can give.
