PADRES WORK DAY, SATURDAY, JAN. 25, 8:30 A.M.

Please join the PADRES on Saturday, Jan. 25, for a work day to help tackle various projects for our school.

Meet at the PADRES shed (near baseball backstop) starting at 8:30 a.m.

RSVPs are not required but appreciated for planning and coordination purposes. Email padres@robertspto.org to let us know you're coming, and contact PADRES President Sam Delisio (513-675-3740) with any questions.

LUNAR NEW YEAR FESTIVAL FRIDAY, JAN. 31, 5–7 P.M.

Join the Roberts community to ring in the 2025 Lunar New Year—Year of the Snake —with traditional performances and fun activities. Asian food, snacks, boba tea, decorations, and other items will be available for purchase, as will 5th grade concessions. Bring cash!

We will also have the annual Lion Dance, where, in accordance with ancient tradition, you may feed the hungry lion $1 bills in exchange for a blessing of good fortune. Sign up to volunteer at the event!

SPRING CLEANUP AT THE ROBERTS INTERNATIONAL GARDEN SUNDAY, FEB. 2, 9 A.M.–12 P.M.

The garden committee is hosting the annual Spring Garden Cleanup and would love to see you there! We'll be prepping the vegetable beds for kinder, 1st, and 2nd grade to begin planting. Coffee and donuts will be served. Please RSVP here if you are able to attend.

Water bottles are a good idea. Please note that the building will be closed for the weekend so there will be no bathroom access.

JOIN THE ROBERTS RUNNING CLUB AT RUN OF PI

Run of Pi registration is now live! Houston Engineers Week hosts this annual 1K/5K/10K fun run, and we encourage runners to run every year. Last year, Roberts received a $4000 grant for our STEM education. Use the promo code RUNROBERTS for a $5 discount off the registration fee! Register and see more race details at the event site. Please note that this is not a drop-off event, as a parent must be present on the racecourse.

MIDDLE SCHOOL AND PRIVATE SCHOOL APPLICATIONS

Middle school and private school application windows are open. For report cards and other school documents requests, please email RobertsRegistration@houstonisd.onmicrosoft.com and allow 2–3 business days to fulfill the request.

HISD PARTNERSHIP FOR STUDENT TELEHEALTH APPOINTMENTS

HISD has partnered with Hazel Health to offer telehealth appointments for students at no out-of-pocket cost to families (insurance will be billed where available). Contact Ms. Lee for any questions.

HISD has partnered with a third party to provide telehealthcare to students.

Who should submit a School Choice application?

  • 5th grade students applying to HISD middle schools
  • Incoming siblings of current non-zoned students

ROBERTS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TOURS FOR K–5TH GRADE STUDENTS

Roberts Elementary is hosting school tours for prospective K–5 students. Tours run from 9–10 a.m.; all participants must check in with valid ID by 8:55 a.m.

MIDDLE SCHOOL TOURS

Attention all 5th grade families: Houston ISD Magnet Tours have begun! Middle schools across the district will hold weekly informational sessions and usually site tours for interested students and their families at 1 p.m. every Thursday between Oct. 10 and Feb. 6. This is a great way to learn more about a campus while school is in session. The School Choice Phase 1 Application opens Dec. 10.

 

Pin Oak Middle School, HISD's premiere foreign language magnet middle school, is pleased to announce our 2025–2026 tour dates! Parents interested in learning more about our outstanding programs are invited to join us for one of our guided tours, lasting approximately 45 minutes. Due to limited space, pre-registration is required, and each tour will accommodate only 50 participants. Don’t miss the opportunity to explore all that Pin Oak has to offer—secure your spot today!

TOUR PERSHING FINE ARTS MAGNET MIDDLE SCHOOL

Interested parents should sign up for Pershing magnet tours. Please arrive 15 minutes before the start so that you may sign in with the school. Parking is available in front of the school on Blue Bonnet or in our Stella Link parking lot. Please enter the school through the main entrance on Blue Bonnet.

GSBS Science Night will be an afternoon of fun, interactive science demonstrations and activities showcasing science at UTHealth and MD Anderson to local elementary school kids and their families.
