Well, that was quite a year!
Despite unexpected challenges—the departure of Principal Epps, the ongoing responsibility of keeping our school safe and secure, and the realities of maintaining a 90-year-old building—we did more than simply muddle through. We thrived. We met every challenge head-on because we are a strong, resilient, and united Roberts Community.
My goal this year was simple: keep the PTO and the Roberts Community moving forward and growing stronger. As we close out the school year, I can proudly say we accomplished this. Your enthusiasm was contagious! Whether you were a seasoned volunteer or a brand-new Roberts parent, your support of the PTO, participation in school events, and your donations reached record levels!
Your contributions had an immediate and meaningful impact. Together, we supported professional development and classroom supplies, celebrated our teachers, enriched curriculum opportunities, expanded IB training, improved the playground and grounds, kept the building going, and strengthened safety measures throughout the year.
And beyond the donations, so many of you gave something even more valuable: your time. From fixing squeaky lockers, to standing in pouring rain at track meets, to planning events that are the envy of private schools (and perhaps a few wedding planners), you showed up again and again for Roberts. Every one of your efforts, large and small, helped strengthen the bonds that make this place so special.
Every time I walk into Roberts, talk to you about Roberts, or simply think about Roberts, it makes me smile. This Community is an extraordinary gift. It provides our kids with a true sense of belonging, connection, and support. That foundation matters deeply.
I am incredibly grateful and humbled to have had the opportunity to serve the PTO this year. Volunteering means giving of yourself to something greater than yourself, and I am proud to be a Roberts volunteer alongside all of you. Thank you.
WE ARE ROBERTS!
