END-OF-YEAR NWEA TESTING MAY 20–23

Students in kindergarten through 5th grade will take end-of-year NWEA tests as following.
Kindergarten: math NWEA only, May 20–21

1st grade: math NWEA only, May 22–23

2nd–5th grades will be tested in math, reading, and science.

Teacher Morales' first 2nd and 4th Grade Art Show thrilled the Roberts community May 9, continuing a beloved tradition and showcasing work from the entire 2nd and 4th grades.

KING OF KINDERGARTEN GIVEAWAY WIN

To celebrate the 6th anniversary of his New York Times bestseller The King of Kindergarten, award-winning author Derrick Barnes hosted an Instagram giveaway—offering 25 signed copies to three classrooms. Yasmeen Belal, mom of kindergartener Idrees Gassama, entered the contest and won! She personally delivered the books to Ms. Waterman’s class, and the students were overjoyed. What a magical way to close out an unforgettable kindergarten year!

Every Friday, the playground is open following dismissal! Join other Roberts families to hang out and get to know one another.

Please note:

Parents must pick up their student(s) and take them to playground area.
There is no access to the main building for restrooms or water.
If you bring snacks, make sure you take all trash with you or place in the trash cans.
Do not park on School St. until the carpool line clears around 3:30 p.m.

KINDERGARTEN PROMOTION

A kindergarten promotion ceremony will take place Thursday, May 29, 6 p.m.

iKIDS U AFTER SCHOOL AT ROBERTS

Registration is open for iKids aftercare during the 2025–2026 school year. iKids U offers a variety of after-school opportunities onsite at Roberts, including Stay and Play, Enrichment, and one-on-one services, with part-time and full-time options from 1–5 days per week. REGISTRATION FOR INCOMING KINDERGARTENERS

Calling all incoming kindergarten students for the 2025–26 school year! There are plenty of May appointments still available. Please see the Roberts website for registration steps and to make an appointment to register. Please share this information with your friends and neighbors in the Roberts community to ensure that space is available for their students to register too!

9:30 a.m.–10 a.m.

This is a solemn occasion and a great opportunity to reflect on the meaning of the holiday before spending time with friends and family.

BELLAIRE BELLES DANCE CLINIC MAY 31

Join the Bellaire Belles dance team on for a day of fun at Bellaire High School Gym Saturday, May 31 from 9 a.m. to noon. Learn a pom, hip-hop, or advanced dance routine to perform for family and friends at the end of the clinic! No dance experience is required. Cost is $40 in advance and $45 at the door. All money raised will help the Bellaire Belles pay for uniforms, camps, and spring competitions. See more info or register here—be sure to put a Roberts alum or sibling name for the referral.
