END-OF-YEAR NWEA TESTING MAY 20–23

Students in kindergarten through 5th grade will take end-of-year NWEA tests as following.
Kindergarten: math NWEA only, May 20–21

1st grade: math NWEA only, May 22–23

2nd–5th grades will be tested in math, reading, and science.

PORTFOLIO PICNIC MAY 21–23

Roberts' annual IB Portfolio Picnic offers a chance for students to share their IB portfolios and reflections on the school year with parents and loved ones. Please make a date with your child and bring a picnic lunch and blanket to share to the front lawn of Roberts. This is a special opportunity for parents and their children to review the students' IB portfolios. We are hoping every parent will be able to attend this very special event! The Portfolio Picnic will take place during a special lunch schedule on May 21, 22, and 23. We are also offering one evening Portfolio Picnic on Thursday, May 22 from 5:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. If you have multiple children, we encourage you to attend the evening picnic!
All parents must RSVP by Monday, May 19.

Join us at Raising Cane's for a Spirit Night this Thursday, May 8, 3–8pm at 9530 Main Street. Bring flyer or mention Roberts at the register or use code RCFUND96 online.

Every Friday, the playground is open following dismissal! Join other Roberts families to hang out and get to know one another.

Please note:

  • Parents must pick up their student(s) and take them to playground area.
  • There is no access to the main building for restrooms or water.
  • If you bring snacks, make sure you take all trash with you or place in the trash cans.
  • Do not park on School St. until the carpool line clears around 3:30 p.m.
DROP EVERYTHING AND READ BOOK REVIEW CONTEST MAY 15

The 2025 international DEAR day challenges RE K–5th grade students and their families to unplug from devices and get lost in a book. Students who review their book(s) can earn prizes or a party, and see their review published! Complete the Book Review Contest form by May 15 to enter and win prizes from sponsors Sprinkles, Van Leeuwen, CoCo Crepes, Refresquería, and Common Bond.

ROBERTS CARNIVAL SUNDAY, MAY 18

The Roberts Carnival has been rescheduled to Sunday, May 18, noon to 4 p.m.

Order your wristbands and tickets today and skip the line at the carnival! Wristbands and tickets will be placed in Tuesday folders the Tuesday before carnival.

MUSTANG RALLY WAS A HIT!

Thank you to all the volunteers who helped make Mustang Rally such a success! Mustang Rally is Running Club’s biggest event of the year, and it would not be possible without all the volunteers’ help. The runners had a great time cheering each other on and showcasing their competitive spirit.

YEARBOOKS AVAILABLE TO ORDER

Roberts 2024–2025 yearbooks are available from Treering with code 1014763033911424. The deadline to customize yearbooks has been extended to May 9—order by Friday to add two pages of your own photos and memories.

iKids AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM REGISTRATION OPEN

iKids after school program registration applications for new students are now being processed! If you are a returning student, as a reminder, please register soon to secure your placement and preferred schedule.

Enrollment is online. For current students, you may use the NO-REG-FEE-2025 to waive the registration fee until June 1, 2025. This code is not eligible for Summer Camp.

ROBERTS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TOURS FOR K–5TH GRADE STUDENTS

Roberts Elementary is hosting a final school tour for prospective K–5 students Friday, May 16. The tour will run from 9–10 a.m.; all participants must check in with valid ID by 8:55 a.m.

REGISTRATION FOR INCOMING KINDERGARTENERS

Calling all incoming kindergarten students for the 2025–26 school year! There are plenty of May appointments still available. Please see the Roberts website for registration steps and to make an appointment to register. Please share this information with your friends and neighbors in the Roberts community to ensure that space is available for their students to register too!

This is a solemn occasion and a great opportunity to reflect on the meaning of the holiday before spending time with friends and family.

BELLAIRE BELLES DANCE CLINIC MAY 31

Join the Bellaire Belles dance team on for a day of fun at Bellaire High School Gym Saturday, May 31 from 9 a.m. to noon. Learn a pom, hip-hop, or advanced dance routine to perform for family and friends at the end of the clinic! No dance experience is required. Cost is $40 in advance and $45 at the door. All money raised will help the Bellaire Belles pay for uniforms, camps, and spring competitions. See more info or register here—be sure to put a Roberts alum or sibling name for the referral.
