FROM THE PRINCIPAL: RETURNING TO ROBERTS

Yesterday marked my first official day back at Roberts since the start of my medical leave on October 14. That time away was a journey in so many ways, but as soon as I stepped onto campus in the morning, I was met with an overwhelming sense of love and warmth from both the students and staff. I am deeply grateful to each and every one of you who offered your thoughts, prayers, and acts of kindness during my time away. Your support has meant more to me than words can express. I’ve always known that Roberts is a truly special place, and once again, you’ve shown me exactly why. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being a part of this journey with me.

STAFF MEMBER OF THE WEEK: YENY PALMA, CUSTODIAN

Hi! I have been with Roberts for 11 years. I’m originally from El Salvador, and have lived in Houston for the last 24 years. I like to watch movies (scary and action are my favorite!) and play soccer (I’ve been playing for 8 years). I have been married for 10 years. I have two children, a 19-year-old son and a 7-year-old daughter. I also have two cats: a boy named Cricket and a girl named Hello Kitty. My favorite foods to eat are Italian and Mexican. I am so happy to be a part of the Roberts community!

THANK YOU, WINTER FESTIVAL VOLUNTEERS

Thank you to everyone who made the second annual Winter Festival a success! The faculty caroling was amazing, as always, and everyone enjoyed the yummy treats and fun crafts provided by RE families! Special thank you to those who donated items or their time to the event and to our 25 National Honor Society volunteers from DeBakey.
