Join us for this month's PTO meeting, this Friday February 20th at 8AM in the Roberts Cafeteria.  All Roberts Elementary families are members of the PTO, no dues are required! And there will be coffee!

Please remember to bring a valid ID and arrive at 7:45am for check in at the front desk. Can't attend in person? Click here to attend the meeting virtually via Zoom (Meeting ID: 922 6565 1797 - Passcode: 19qcg8).

Please complete the Intent to Return Form to help us anticipate student enrollment for the 2026-27 academic year. The form should be completed for ALL currently enrolled students in grades Kindergarten through 4th — whether they will be returning to Roberts or not. The deadline for completion is March 17th, 2026. 

Join the Roberts community this Friday to ring in the 2026 Lunar New Year, Year of the Horse, with traditional performances and fun activities. Asian food, boba tea, decorations, snacks, and other items will be available for purchase in addition to the 5th grade concessions - bring your cash!

We will also have the annual Lion Dance! According to ancient tradition, feed the hungry lion $1 bills in exchange for a blessing of good fortune! 

As always, volunteers are crucial to make our events successful. Please sign up HERE! 

In-person tickets have sold out for our event but YOU can still get in on the Auction action on February 28! We’ve got over 200 prizes available, including memorable moments for your kids with their teachers, adult and family parties, gift cards to all your favorite places and items from Lego to sunglasses. Proceeds go back into our school - helping us REjuvenate our building and address the many indignities of its 90 years of age.

Parents, if your child will be observing Ramadan and fasting during lunchtime, kindly complete this formto assist us in making the necessary accommodations for them during this period of observance. Thank you!

Every Friday, the playground is open following dismissal! Join other Roberts families to hang out and get to know one another.

Please note:

• Parents must pick up their student(s) and take them to playground area.
• There is no access to the main building for restrooms or water.
• If you bring snacks, please make sure you take all trash with you or place in the trash cans.
• Do not park on School Street until the carpool line clears around 3:30PM!

Calling all 5th grade artists and graphic designers! The 2025-2026 yearbook cover needs you! Submissions are due Thursday March 5th to Ms. Punch.

Prospective Roberts' families interested in touring the campus may do so on the given tour dates below. All tours start promptly at 9AM and parents should check-in at reception with a valid form of ID 5 - 10 minutes before the start of the tour. Appointments are not necessary.

Attention 5th grade Parents (and incoming Kinder students not zoned to Roberts), Phase 1 of the School Choice window opened December 9th, 2025 and closes on February 27th, 2026. 

If you are planning to apply to a Vanguard/STEM/Fine Arts middle school or any middle school that is not your zoned campus, you will need to complete a School Choice transfer application when the window opens. Please see the attached flyer for a list of School Choice Fair dates to learn more about the different schools and their offerings. For more information on the School Choice process, please visit: the HISD School Choice website.

A student may receive up to three excused absences for attending tours following the protocol below:

• The student must be present at their enrolled campus during ADA. 
• The parent must complete the survey at the touring campus and bring back documentation with tour date and time to the student’s enrolled campus upon return the following day. 
• Excused absences will only be given for up to three different campuses.  
• These excused absences will still be considered in the total number of absences for credit and plan purposes.
