Happy New Year, parents!

We are thrilled to welcome everyone back as we kick off the second semester! This is such an exciting time, though it can get busy with district and state assessments, as well as various school activities. To stay up to date, please be sure to check the ClassDojo messages from your child’s teacher each week so you don’t miss any important updates. Also, don’t forget to check the school calendar for upcoming holidays or days when students are not in session. These reminders are also shared via ClassDojo to help keep you informed.

As we begin this new semester, we want to emphasize the importance of students arriving on time (7:30 a.m.) and attending school daily, unless they’re unwell. Consistent attendance really helps our students thrive!

Lastly, we truly appreciate our parent volunteers—our school wouldn’t be the same without your support. If you haven’t had a chance to volunteer yet, there’s still time! Please visit the PTO website at www.robertspto.membershiptoolkit.com to learn about ways you can get involved. We’re looking forward to an amazing second semester together!

Come cheer on the Roberts Soccer Team in a friendly match against Harvard Elementary at 4 p.m. on January 8, at the Roberts field. Fans can enter through the School St. gate near the field starting at 3:30 p.m.

Mark your calendars for a spirit night at Hopdoddy Burger Bar in Rice Village January 15! Anyone dining in at any time during the day can present this flyer and 20 percent of their check will be donated to Roberts.

Middle school and private school application windows are open. For report cards and other school documents requests, please email RobertsRegistration@houstonisd.onmicrosoft.com and allow 2–3 business days to fulfill the request.

HISD PARTNERSHIP FOR STUDENT TELEHEALTH APPOINTMENTS

HISD has partnered with Hazel Health to offer telehealth appointments for students at no out-of-pocket cost to families (insurance will be billed where available). Contact Ms. Lee for any questions.

Roberts Elementary School Tours for K–5th Grade Students

Roberts Elementary is hosting school tours for prospective K–5 students. Tours run from 9–10 a.m.; all participants must check in with valid ID by 8:55 a.m.

MIDDLE SCHOOL TOURS

Attention all 5th grade families: Houston ISD Magnet Tours have begun! Middle schools across the district will hold weekly informational sessions and usually site tours for interested students and their families at 1 p.m. every Thursday between Oct. 10 and Feb. 6. This is a great way to learn more about a campus while school is in session. The School Choice Phase 1 Application opens Dec. 10.

Pin Oak Middle School, HISD's premiere foreign language magnet middle school, is pleased to announce our 2025–2026 tour dates! Parents interested in learning more about our outstanding programs are invited to join us for one of our guided tours, lasting approximately 45 minutes. Due to limited space, pre-registration is required, and each tour will accommodate only 50 participants. Don’t miss the opportunity to explore all that Pin Oak has to offer—secure your spot today!

TOUR PERSHING FINE ARTS MAGNET MIDDLE SCHOOL

Interested parents should sign up for Pershing magnet tours. Please arrive 15 minutes before the start so that you may sign in with the school. Parking is available in front of the school on Blue Bonnet or in our Stella Link parking lot. Please enter the school through the main entrance on Blue Bonnet.
