PTO MEETING ON FRIDAY AT 8AM
 
 

Please join us for this school year's first PTO meeting on Friday, September 9 at 8am, at the Roberts Cafeteria

Check-in for the PTO meeting will begin at 7:45am, but entry to the building will begin at 7:55am. IMP: Please bring a valid ID to show at reception.

You can also attend the meeting virtually HEREby Zoom, or by Phone at +13462487799, 4236260000# US (Houston).  

There will be a vote to approve the Financial Review Committee at the meeting. The nominees are:

  • Ranabir Dutt

All families of Roberts all members of the PTO - no dues are required.

The International Festival is coming up on Friday, October 7! The theme this year is Books and Stories. There are many opportunities to participate:

  • Country Booth Leader/Helper
  • Talent Show for students (coordinator needed!)
  • Fashion Show for families and students
  • General Volunteers

We will be available to answer questions after Friday's PTO meeting.

GARDEN CLEANUP ON SUNDAY!
 
International Garden, 9am-11am
 
 

Help prepare the 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade vegetable beds for September planting! Coffee and donuts will be served! Please RSVP HERE so we have a head count.

Learn more about the Roberts International Garden's planting and harvesting program and get your kids interested in where their food comes from and all the resources needed to grow it.

Bring your gardening gear: gloves, pruning clippers, etc. We have extras if you don’t have any. Please note that the building will be closed for the weekend so there will be no bathroom access. Water bottles are a good idea. 

NOTE: Families with kids in classes Luera, Peng, Meeks, Vuong, Jucker and Laghari, WE NEED YOU! Garden is seeking 2 parents for each class to help your kids plant in the garden. Email us at internationalgarden@robertspto.org to sign up or for more information.

If you are interested in volunteering (sponsorships, donations, tickets, outreach, etc.), we will be having an Auction/Gala planning meeting for volunteers tomorrow, September 7th at 7:15pm. Please reach out to Linda Haines or Michelle Wan, Auction Co-Chairs at auction@robertspto.org for details.

 
CULTURE OF GIVING BEGINS NEXT WEEK

 

On Monday, September 12, we begin our annual Culture of Giving campaign, which funds 1/3 of our PTO Budget. Be on the lookout for your donation request letter, and more information on how to donate in next week's Front Page.

 
RUNNING CLUB KICKS OFF SEPT. 13!
 
Register for the 2022-23 Season
 
 

Welcome to the 2022-23 Running Club Season! We begin training September 13th!

The Roberts Running Club meets twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30am to 6:55am. These training sessions are coached by our PE teacher, Jack Alexander (Coach A to the kids).

All new and returning student athletes must register annually to participate in the current school year. Please register HERE

MEET THE PTO FRIDAYS

Sept.16, & 23, After Drop-off

 

For two more upcoming Fridays of the school year, some of the PTO chairs and officers will be available after drop-off to chat and answer questions about Roberts and the PTO. Please bring your own coffee and see us at the Circle Drive entrance.

The Roberts Campus is following new safety protocols and will require ALL PARENTS to show a VALID PHOTO ID in order to enter the campus AT EVERY VISIT. There will be no exceptions. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

 
RICE FOOTBALL NASA SPACE/SCOUT DAY

Cub Scout Pack 505,Twin Bayou District, and Rice University invite all Roberts Elementary students, families, and friends to join for Rice Football NASA Space Day.
