The Office of School Choice has a new application system – HISD Choice, which has been streamlined to improve the application experience. The HISD Choice system will facilitate ease to provide families with the time to settle into the current school year before they have to decide on the school they want to attend for the next school year. 

Below are the HISD Choice application windows:

The HISD Choice system will shut down on February 2, 2023, and will not be brought back online until April 5, 2023. During this time no applications can be submitted.

Monday, November 14 - Friday, November 18 is Spirit Week at Roberts! Look out for an email with details and Facebook updates for more information.

The 1st-5th Grade G/T Application window is now open and the application is available at reception, on our website, and also in the Parent Portal.

More information can be found on our Roberts website and the deadline to submit the application is Friday, February 3, 2023. 1st-5th Grade testing will take place in February 2023. More information is forthcoming.

All Kindergarten students who have not been identified will be universally tested and do not require an application for testing. Kindergarten G/T testing will take place the week of November 14. More information coming soon.

RE CAMPOUT was postponed due to bad weather, but has been rescheduled for Friday, December 2.

Already registered to camp or volunteer? No need to re-register! Student and volunteer t-shirts will be coming home in backpacks soon if you have not yet received them.

Missed original registration or the new date works for you? The RE Campout team has received approval to reopen registration for a limited number of spots. Stay tuned for registration details and announcements (also applies to volunteer registrations).

Monday, November 14th is Diabetes Awareness Day. Benjamin Leipold (1st Grade), Sarah Dluhy (1st Grade) and William Tredennick (4th Grade) would like to invite the Robert’s community to join them in wearing blue to school on Monday to celebrate the birthday of Sir Frederick Banting, who co-discovered insulin along with Charles Best in 1922.

Houston Zoo Lights

Jiya is a 4th Grader in Mr.Vuong's class who was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis (CF) at age 3. CF affects the lungs, pancreas and other organs.

Great Strides, an annual national event, hosted by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) raises funds for research to cure CF and help people with CF lead long and productive lives.

Join 'Team Jiya' at Great Strides Houston on Tuesday,November 15, at 5:30pm, at Houston Zoo Lights. Zoo membership NOT needed.

Please donate to 'Team Jiya' and register each walker HERE. Thank you for your support to help advance the mission to cure CF!

All 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade classes have planted in the garden! Thank you to all the volunteers who have helped get the garden ready for fall planting, signed up to help with watering, and to all the fall liaisons for coordinating a time and planting with their classes.

Garden still needs 1 to 2 parent volunteers for the following classes to help kids plant in the garden this spring (Jan/Feb).

Roberts next school tour is on Friday, November 11, at 9am. Incoming Kindergarten and new parents of 1st-5th Grade students are welcome to join the tour. Please check in at reception by 8:55 am with a valid ID.
